So these two men were the ones who really pushed for a war with Britain, which ended up to be the War of 1812.

There were a few causes to the War of 1812, but the main reason was the impressment of American sailors into the British navy. Impressment wasn't the act of impressing someone, it was taking the sailors captive by the British and forcing them to work for the British navy. This really got Americans mad, especially Henry Clay and John C. Calhoun, who mandated to go to war with Britain. These "war hawks" pushed for Congress/US to declare war on Britain.
