Iron is more electropositive than Silver as evident from their positions in the electrochemical series.Less electropoitve Silver ions (Ag^+)(Ag+) get reduced by the Iron FeFe atom and as a result metallic silver is deposited on Iron electrode when dipped in silver ion solution. But Ag electrode does not interact with Fe^"+3"Fe+3 ions in solution.

2Ag^+ +Fe->Fe^"+2"+2Ag2Ag++FeFe+2+2Ag
