"Density, "rho = "Mass"/"Volume"; benzene is the denser liquid.

Explanation:

rho_"benzene" = (4.4*g)/(5.0*mL) = ??*g*mL^-1 = 0.88*g*mL^-1.

rho_"ethanol" = (3.9*g)/(5.0*mL) = ??*g*mL^-1 = ?*g*mL^-1.

My money is on the benzene.
