The Weak Force exerts its influence on all particles. It is responsible for beta radiation and plays an important role in nuclear reactions such as fusion. It acts over a very short range
The exchange particle responsible for transmitting the weak force is the Boson (W+ and W-). These are relatively massive which means a short lifetime and therefore distance.
The weak force can alter the flavour of a quark. Hence strangeness is not conserved in weak interactions.
