Displacement is dependent on time and velocity.

If I walk to the train station from my home it will take me about 20 minutes to get there.

If I use my bike, I will be there in about 5 minutes.

Conclusion: my velocity on bike is 4 times as high as my walking speed.

It's all in the following formulae:
$s$ $s$ =displacement, $t$ $t$ =time and $v$ $v$ =velocity

$s = v \cdot t$ $s=v*t$
$v = s / t$ $v=s//t$
$t = s / v$ $t=s//v$

In the metric system we use meters, seconds and m/s,
or kilometers, hours and km/h.
