Let me begin by telling Light has no color! , color is a human concept and very unreliable and useless, the colors that we perceive are the response of our eyes to these fluctuating magnetic and electric fields. And it is so unreliable that one cannot even guarantee that two people perceive "Red" the same way!

Hence we have come up with formulations like Wavelengths or frequency and the beauty of these concepts is that these are useful, regardless if you can see that "color" or not. Apart from that whatever the gentleman in the above answer said is absolutely, correct I just thought this misconception should be cleared.
