-5(1-5x)+5(-8x-2)=-4x-8x the answer i got was x=5 , is it right ? How can i plug it back into the equation to show its right? if its wrong please tell me where i went wrong.

Proof

#-5 + 25x - 40x -10 = -4x -8x#

After getting rid of parenthesis

#-15 = -12x -25x +40x#

#-15 = 40x - 37 x#

#-15 = 3x#

#-15/3 = -5 = x#
