Look at the sum formula for arithmetic sequences:
$459 = \frac{n}{2} (50 + 1)$ $459= n/2(50+1)$

$918 = 51 n$ $918=51n$

$n = 18$ $n=18$

However this is including $1$ $1$ and $50$ $50$ as terms, so therefore there would need to be 16 terms between $1$ $1$ and $50$ $50$
