Can i find the area of all geometrical figure with only one formula?

Explanation:

Each area has it own set uniqueness to it. So let take a random area formula.

So if we were to use the rectangle formula for a triangle, we would get two different answers.

So let say a triangle has a base of 4 inches and a height of 2 inches. Plugging these numbers into the triangle formula which is #A=1/2bh# gives us: 4 inches square.

So plugging these same numbers into the rectangle formula which is #A=bh# gives us 8 inches square which isn't the same answer when plugging it into the triangle formula.

So that why we have a specific formula for each geometrical figure that exist in modern day time.
