Well, we know that a lateral face is any side that is not a base. So if you add all the sides that are a base, and all the sides that are not a base, you will get the total number of sides. There are 4 lateral faces (sides that aren't bases), and 1 base, so there is a total of 5 sides.
Out of all the options, the only two polyhedrons with 5 sides is the triangular prism and the square pyramid.
The triangle prism, doesn't have any of it's 4 lateral faces meet at one vertex (meaning having 4 sides touch at a point), so the answer must be the square pyramid
To check your work, you can look at the last sentence, "the edges of the base are all the same length". Well since we know the base is a square, and all squares hold that property, then it must work.
