Applying the rule that the sum of logs is the log of the product (and fixing the typo) we get $log \frac{2 x^{2}}{3}$ $log frac{2x^2}{3}$ .

Presumably the student meant to combine terms in

$3 log x + log 4 - log x - log 6$ $3 log x + log 4 - log x - log 6$

$= {log x}^{3} + log 4 - log x - log 6$ $= log x^3 + log 4 - log x - log 6$

$= log \frac{4 x^{3}}{6 x}$ $= log \frac{ 4x^3}{6x}$

$= log \frac{2 x^{2}}{3}$ $= log frac{2x^2}{3}$
