Decomposers benefit us by decomposing the bits of organic matter into soil, which we can use to grow crops.

Explanation:

Everything comes from soil. Think of it. You eat pizza, which is composed of cheese and bread. The cheese comes from a cow, which eats grass, which depends on soil to grow from. Same with bread. Bread comes from wheat and/or grains, which grow in the soil.

Soil is a non-renewable resource, which means that it cannot be replaced easily. It takes thousands of years to just make one inch of soil! We have to prevent soil erosion from happening, otherwise we might run out of soil.

Decomposers help speed up the process of weathering down plant and animal remains (organic matter) into soil, so it's very important that we have them!

P.S. Next time your parents want you to eat your veggies, and not another slice of pizza, just tell them that pizza comes from plants, so therefore, it's a veggie! XD
