Can the word "oneself" be considered a first or second person point of view? I'm trying to think of words I can use for my research paper, but I can't use first or second person words.

Not without using incorrect grammar.
Explanation:
One, and by extension, oneself, is a third person pronoun. However, if the paper isn't being graded on style or grammar, you could use oneself in reference to you.
For example:
"I ran 10 miles yesterday, one's self can be very energetic."
I personally would just stay away from using one as a pronoun in general, you can use it occasionally but if you end up using words like "oneself" whatever you're writing can feel pompous, and overdone.
