Homeostasis is the ability of organisms to maintain a constant and steady equilibrium when exposed to external stimuli. Selective permeability allows a cell to be permeable to only certain molecules.
Explanation:
So, selective permeability allows a cell to basically take what it needs and not just have a free flow of materials in and out of the cell. This allows the cell to maintain its internal conditions i.e. homeostasis.
