Swallowing and Peristalsis are the two processes.
Explanation:
Swallowing includes chewing the food,mixing it with saliva to form bolus and pushing the bolus to the throat.
In the throat,a flap like structure called epiglottis closes the opening of larynx to prevent food from going into the lungs.
Peristalsis is a wave of constriction caused by the circular muscles of the gut to push the food to the stomach. It takes place in the food pipe or oesophagus.
