Since #k# is negative (less than #0#), and #q# is increasing, then p will get smaller and smaller.

For example, let's say #k# is #-2#.

#p=-2q#

#"When"# #q=1,p=-2#.

#"When"# #q=2,p=-4#

#"When"# #q=3,p=-6#

As you can see, as #q# gets larger, #p# gets smaller (multiplying a negative with a positive, the answer gets smaller as the positive or negative gets larger).

Let's test this out with a different set:

#p=-9q#

#"When"# #q=1,p=-9#

#"When"# #q=2,p= -18#

#"When"# #q=3,p= -27#.

As you can see, as #q# gets larger, #p# gets smaller.
