Lets start off by changing all the measurements to seconds, (the smallest unit of time). Multiply minutes by #60# to get seconds and multiply hours by #60# and then #60# again to change to minutes.

#3 xx 60=180# seconds

#1 xx 60=60# minutes

#60 xx 60=3600 # seconds

So we have:

#180:30:3600#

This is ratio in terms of seconds, but if you want/need to simplify...

We need to find the lowest common multiple of all these numbers, which is #30#. Then divide all the terms by #30#

#180/60=3#

#30/30=1#

#3600/30=120#

Now put this back into a ratio:

#3:1:120#

This is our simplest ratio we can have.
