I can think of two ways to solve this question.

First method: factoring out xy.

2x3y-3xy has a common factor of xy.

With that in mind, you can easily factor it into xy(2·3-3).

Now, evaluate using BEDMAS. 2 times 3 is 6, and 6 - 3 is 3.

So now you have xy(3), and that can be rewritten as 3xy.

Second method: multiplying.

2x3y is essentially 2x times 3y, and that gives us 6xy.

You can then rewrite the equation as 6xy - 3xy and subtract accordingly, which gives us 3xy.
