The question is asking what is #(2+3/8)-:1/4# and is that number greater than #10#?

Finding a common denominator and adding numerators:

#(16/8+3/8)-:1/4#

#19/8-:1/4#

Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by it’s reciprocal:
