How do you factor the trinomial p^2 + p -12?

I am using another question and answer as an example for this, sorry if it's not understandable. BTW, the answer is (p−3)(p+4)

How do you factor 4p²+4p+1?
Its just an example. But for this case, the two on the right are gonna be 4 and -3 because the two on the left have to be multiplied together in order to get -12 and on the two on the left are gonna be both p's. I hope this helps you!
