#y = 4 x^2 + 8 x - 2#

#y = 4(x^2 +2x) -2#

#y = 4(x + 1)^2 -4(1^2) - 2#

#y = 4(x + 1)^2 - 6#

axis of symetry is when #(x + 1) = 0#
therefore axis symetry is #x = -1#
