Nuclear energy can be utilized in power plants for large cities, to power navy ships, and as nuclear weapons.

Explanation:

Depending on what you mean by "what is the example of nuclear energy?" there are at least three examples of using nuclear energy for producing electrical or mechanical power.

The first is a nuclear power plant powering a city. For example, the Palo Verde II in western Arizona, is one of the largest nuclear power plants in the United States. This power plant uses nuclear energy to super-heat water, making steam powered electricity for close to 4 million people.

The second are the smaller nuclear power plants powering navy aircraft carriers and submarines. The USS Nautilus was the world's first nuclear powered submarine. The nuclear energy onboard allows the submarine to stay underwater, without resurfacing, for a very long period of time, maintaining much cleaner air and environment for the crew.

The third use of nuclear energy is, of course, nuclear weapons. In 1944, very shortly after the discovery of how to harness nuclear power, two large nuclear weapons (Fat Man and Little Boy) were detonated in Nagasaki and Hiroshima, killing almost 200,000 people.
