(Thermodynamics) Which of the following is not an assumption on which the kinetic model of an ideal gas is based? and why?

a) The mean-square speed of the molecules is proportional to the kelvin temperatures
(b)Unless in contact, the forces between molecules are negligible

a) is not an assumption and it contradicts the conclusion of the model which is that: #v_(rms)^2 propto T#.

There is an assumption that the average kinetic energy of the particles depends only on the system's absolute temperature. And because they are also assumed to be of the same mass, I think that this is effectively a "sub-assumption", lol: #v_(rms) = v_(rms)(T)#
