Oil, natural gas, and coal are the Big 3 non-renewable fossil fuels.

Explanation:

Oil: about 7 years ago, people thought we were headed for a peak oil world and thereafter, oil supplies would start to decline. More recently, horizontal drilling and fracking technology has found vast new oil deposits in shales which previously were not thought to contain oil.

Natural Gas: abundant supplies in North America and probably around the world due to, again, horizontal drilling and fracking technology in black shales.

Coal: supplies for centuries, however, burning coal is causing enormous health issues in China and India from air pollution and so these countries are starting to consider other options. Coal is also being phased out in North America due to climate change concerns.
