Does cancer always show up in blood tests?

No it does not. There are times a blood work may appear normal but the person may already be in the early or late stages of cancer.

Cancers like breast, colorectal and prostate cancer needs regular screening to detect mutated cells after which if a suspicious tumor is found, it will be subjected to a biopsy which will diagnose if it is benign or malignant. If it is found to be malignant, it will be classified into 4 stages of severity which will determine treatment and prognosis for the patient.
