How do you factor the expression 6x^2 + x = 56x2+x=5?

So if you have the equation and you still want to factor it, you need to bring all of the terms to one side 6x^2+x-5=06x2+x5=0

The left side can now be factored into
( x +1)(6x-1)(x+1)(6x1)= 0

The nice thing about the factored form of this equation is that you now can spot the roots or the solutions to the equation. There are two solutions.
