The Renaissance itself became an avenue to many people in Europe back those days to be more enlightened on the beauty of arts and sciences. We have seen a lot of amazing works of art during this period and more critical thinkers sprouted like Petrarch. Although what we are having right now is so far much better than their time, it opened their eyes to the classical beauty of the world. This helped to uplift their sense of nationalism upon themselves.
