The equation of the line with slope $m$ and passing through the

point ( $x_1$ , $y_1$ ) is given by

( $y$ - $y_1$ ) = m ( $x$ - $x_1$ )

( $y$ - $9$ ) = $2$ ( $x$ - $3$ )

$y$ - $9$ = $2x$ - $6$

Collecting terms in one side

$0$ = $2x$ - $y$ - $6$ + $9$

$2x$ - $y$ + $3$ = $0$
