Yes! We very much would like to add this functionality to Socratic. We investigated what it would take to build this and, unfortunately, it's not easy so we're not going to be able to build this soon.
That said, it's really important that we understand what kinds of diagrams you would like to add to answers, so we can incorporate that into the design of the diagram-drawer.
Please leaves comments below with examples of diagrams you'd like to be able draw, or questions that would benefit from having a diagram-drawer on Socratic.
